BIDDEFORD — Morgan Jones, daughter of Bill and Lisa Jones of Chelsea, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at the University of New England.

Jones, a 2011 graduate of Cony High School, is majoring in nursing. She is actively involved at the university in the Student Nursing Association.

PORTLAND — Paige LaPointe, daughter of Deborah LaPointe of West Gardiner, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at the University of New England.

LaPointe, a 2011 graduate of Gardiner Area High School, is majoring in medical biology and earned a 4.0 grade point average.

Spicer named

to UNE dean’s list

PORTLAND — Alivia Spicer, daughter of Scott and Jill Spicer of Vassalboro, has been named to the dean’s list for the fall 2012 semester at the University of New England.

Spicer, a 2012, graduate of Erskine Academy, is a pre-medical major. She is actively involved at the university in the Outdoor Recreation Club, Outing Club, and the Pre-Med Club.

HAMILTON, N.Y. — Rachel Petersen of Augusta, Maine, received the dean’s award for academic excellence during the fall 2012 term at Colgate University.

Petersen is a graduate of Cony High School. She is a member of the class of 2014 at the university, where she is majoring in math.
