BENTON — Absentee ballots are available for the March 8 town election. Registered voters may vote at the Town Office or voters may request an absentee ballot in person or call 453-7191. Immediate family members can fill out an absentee ballot application. Absentee voting and ballot requests will be accepted 1-6 p.m. Thursdays, and 1 to 4 p.m. Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays.
After March 5, only special-circumstance ballot applications will be accepted during the same office hours. Voting will take place from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. March 8 at the Town Office. Residents who wish to register to vote may do so any time during normal Town Office business hours. Voters will be voting for one selectman, town clerk, treasurer/tax collector, road commissioner and one school board member.
