SKOWHEGAN — The Skowhegan Community Center recently announced the following activities:
* Saddleback ski/snowboard trips to Saddleback Mountain in Rangeley are planned for Sunday and Sunday, March 10. The bus departs from the Community Center at 8 a.m. and will return at 5 p.m. Cost is $30 per skier which includes transportation, all-day lift ticket and recreation staff supervision. Please bring ski or snowboard equipment, helmet, warm clothes and a bag lunch or money for the snack bar. Rentals will be available for an extra cost. Register at the Skowhegan Community Center.
* Bigfoot Overnight Snowshoe and X-Country Ski Trip to Maine Hut and Trail System to the newly constructed Poplar Stream Falls Hut, March 17-18 sponsored by New Balance and spend the night. Bus will depart the Community Center at 8 a.m. March 17 and return March 18 at 5 p.m. Cost is free for Outdoor Adventure Kids and $49 for all others. Fee includes all meals, lodging and bus transportation. Register at the Skowhegan Community Center.
