FARMINGTON — Two sessions of a lard rendering class are set for 10 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 1-3:30 p.m. today at Sandy River Farm Market.

Instructor will be local farmer Deb Evans of Bagaduce Farm. Cost is $10.

The class will include hands-on experience, pastry, cookie and candy sampling, and participants can take home their own jar of lard.
