AUGUSTA — Joseph and Lorraine (Douin) Freeman celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.

They were married October 20th, 1962, the “Sweetest Day of the Year” at St. Augustine’s Church, Augusta, Maine.

During those years that followed they had four children, Susan Freeman from Nashua, N.H., Phillip Freeman from Stone Mountain, Ga., Scott and Wendy Freeman from Merrimack, N.H., and Jeffrey Freeman of Nashua, N.H.; five grandchildren Erik and Katelynn Malboeuf from Nashua, N.H., Jacquelynn Malboeuf and Janell Chicklis from Nashua, N.H., Rebecca Malboeuf from Nashua, N.H., Holly Freeman and Colby Freeman from Merrimack, N.H.; one great-grandchild, Ellizabeth Malboeuf from Nashua, N.H. with Kaden on the way.

Joe and Lorraine celebrated with a family dinner, given by their children, at Michael Timothy’s in Nashua, N.H.

Mr. Freeman is retired 35 years from Nashua Corporation and served in U.S. Army and Army National Guard Battery B (in Nashua, N.H.) retired 23 years. Mrs. Freeman kept the home front running with raising the four children.
