WATERVILLE — Hospice Volunteers of Waterville Area will offer Certified Hospice Volunteer training starting April 1. If you are interested in sharing two-four hours a week with individuals and family members who face life-threatening illness you can help make living each day a gift. Your support may include: companionship, letter writing, life review, reading, compassionate listening, respite for the caregiver or bereavement support for family members.
Training will run 5:30-8:30 p.m. Monday and Wednesday evenings April 1, 3, 8, 10, 17, 22 and 24. A pre-training interview is required as space is limited.

There is a $30 process and materials fee. Scholarships are available. Training applications can be requested by calling 873-3615 or visit hvwa.org/help-hos pice.shtml.
