WATERVILLE — Using social networks to attract the attention of news media will be the topic of the upcoming Business Breakfast.

Nancy Marshall will talk on Thursday, May 2, about how social networks, including Twitter, Facebook and YouTube, can help businesses connect with news media to reach a broader audience. The owner of Nancy Marshall Communications, she earned a master’s degree in 1994 from one of the event sponsors, Thomas College. The other event sponsor is the Mid-Maine Chamber of Commerce.

The Healthy People of the Kennebec Valley 2013 Workplace Well-Being Award winners will also be honored at the breakfast. The winners are Inland Hospital, MaineGeneral Health, Kennebec Valley Community College, Huhtamaki and Maine Veterans’ Homes.

The breakfast will be held in Spann Commons Oak Room 7:15-9 a.m. May 2 at Thomas College. Cost is $15 for members registering by the Friday before the event, $17 for late registration and $20 at the door and for general admission. For more information, call the chamber at 873-3315.
