Single guy wants more than friendship
As a full-fledged member of the Getting Naked Experiment, I’m all about putting on my thongs and getting into more rooms. I’ve been on a few dates, some good, some terrible, which is to be expected. On my dates that are good, I’ve found that I’m just being myself, and the girls seem to genuinely like me; however, it seems that they’re only interested in maintaining a friendship instead of a romantic relationship. Then, it finally, hit me: I’m great at being friends with women, but something about my approach just screams “I’m not boyfriend material, I’m friend material.” What can I do to turn myself into the kind of person who gives off the vibe that I’m a nice guy who’s interested in a relationship instead of someone who is just looking to be friends?
Take your role-model status seriously
Dear Annie: I am currently in school and working four different jobs. I am also the mother of three children. My husband is very selfish. He doesn’t think twice about sending our children to a sitter so he can go out to do whatever he wants. When I’m at school or working, I constantly worry about the kids. I feel it is his responsibility to take care of them when I cannot, and vice versa.

CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER: Bush’s best legacy:creation of anti-terror infrastructure
Clare Boothe Luce liked to say that “a great man is one sentence.” Presidents, in particular. The most common “one sentence” for George W. Bush (whose legacy is being reassessed as his presidential library opens) is: “He kept us safe.”
MAINE COMPASS: Genetically modified organisms should be labeled as such
I wonder why, in a time when we search for information and build knowledge in so many aspects of our complicated lives, there is so much resistance to seeking, or providing, basic information about the nature of the food we eat?
