The burglary alarm that sent police to U.S. Rep. Chellie Pingree’s office in downtown Waterville Friday morning was a false alarm.

The police log reported that the alarm was triggered at 9:46 a.m. at 108 Main St. and investigated by Deputy Chief Deputy Chief Charles Rumsey and officers Todd Burbank and Steve Brame.
