Heather and Ralph Merrow on Sunday set out to dry, at their home in Waterville, some of the 500 American flags that were left over after members of Boy Scout Troop 436 placed them on graves of veterans at the Maine Veterans Cemetery in Augusta recently. The flags will be stored until needed again.
