Center’ annual awards ceremony set May 23

SKOWHEGAN — The Somerset Career & Technical Center will hold its annual Career & Technical Education Awards Ceremony at 6 p.m. May 23 in the Skowhegan Area High School gymnasium. This will be the center’s 43rd year of educating CTE students, according to a news release. Parents, relatives and guests of students have been invited to attend the ceremony.

Financial literacy fair’s second year a success

SKOWHEGAN — Skowhegan Savings and Jobs for Maine Graduates joined forces on March 29 to host the second annual “Life’s Dollars and $ense” Financial Literacy Fair, providing Skowhegan, Madison and Carrabec High School seniors with a hands-on opportunity to learn about, and demonstrate proficiency in, personal finance.

Franklin Health open house May 22

FARMINGTON — Dr. Thomas Pulling and physician assistant Sarah Dooley from Franklin Health Orthopaedics will host an open house from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. May 22 at the Rangeley Region Physical Rehabilitation program in the Wellness Pavilion on the Dallas Road. They will discuss services that will be offered there two days per month starting in June. Anyone needing care for musculoskeletal conditions or sports medicine is invited to attend
