    Farmington’s Relay for Life today, Saturday

    FARMINGTON -- The Relay for Life of Franklin County will circle its wagons at the Farmington Fairgrounds on today, as its "Wild, Wild West" themed event gets under way at 6 p.m. This overnight event continues through 6 a.m. Saturday, according to a press release.     UMA, MIF to hostopen hangar event

    AUGUSTA -- More than 150 community members are expected to attend the University of Maine at Augusta and Maine Instrument Flight's Open Hangar Community Celebration from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Maine Instrument Flight by the Augusta State Airport. The event celebrates the launch of UMA's new bachelor of science in aviation.

    Alumni association annual banquet Aug. 10

    OAKLAND -- The Oakland Alumni Association annual banquet is planned for Saturday, Aug. 10. The association has had a long history, starting back in 1920. It holds an annual banquet each year and last year more than 175 classmates from the 1930's to 2006 attended, representing the Oakland High School, Williams High School and Messalonskee High School.
