Absentee ballot laws revised in Clinton

CLINTON — Absentee ballots are available for the June 11 annual town meetings. There is a three business day cut-off for absentee voting because of new laws. Voters are no longer able to request an absentee ballot after 3:45 p.m. Thursday, June 6, unless the voter signs an affidavit swearing they cannot travel to the polls because of an unexpected physical disability or will unexpectedly to out of town on Election Day, according to a news release.

Donations sought for benefit supper

KNOX — A benefit supper for Bill and Jackie Bryant today at the Harold and Joyce Larrabee Family Fun Building, Shibles Road. The Bryants home was destroyed by fire. Food donations may be made by calling Rita at 382-6783 or Agnes at 568-3479. Sandra Hayden is putting together a raffle, the main gift will be a quilt made by Juanita and Gwen.
