SKOWHEGAN — Dennis and Jan Downing of Skowhegan have announced the engagement of their daughter, Alissa Jill, to Ted Gervais, son of Linda Gervais of Oakland.
Alissa is a graduate of Skowhegan Area High School and Eastern Maine Community College. She currently attends the University of Maine at Augusta and is employed as the Director of Residential Life and Activities at Eastern Maine Community College in Bangor.
Ted is a graduate of Lawrence High School, Washington County Community College and Eastern Maine Community College. He is employed as a truck driver for Richard Carrier Trucking of Skowhegan.
A June 14, 2014, wedding is planned.
