ROCKLAND — More than 900 bicyclists are riding along Maine’s midcoast for the Bicycle Coalition of Maine’s 12th annual Lobster Ride.

Sunday’s ride is the coalition’s largest fundraising event, with proceeds going to support the group’s work to improve bicycling in Maine.

Organizers are expecting a record turnout for the event, which starts in Rockland and has six routes ranging from 15 to 100 miles that pass through Rockland, South Thomaston, St. George, Port Clyde, Owls Head, Rockport, Camden, Lincolnville, Searsmont and Hope.

After the rides, participants will have a lobster roll lunch.
