AUBURN — A man wanted in connection with the stabbing and strangulation death of a Maine man has been captured while working at a carnival in Massachusetts.

The Sun Journal reports that 22-year-old Sebastian Moody was apprehended Thursday as the carnival was setting up in Beverly, Mass.

Moody appeared in a Massachusetts court Friday on a fugitive from justice charge and waived rendition to Maine. He was expected to return later in the day.

Maine authorities say Moody is wanted on charges of hindering apprehension or prosecution in connection with the April killing of Romeo Parent of Greene.

Police say Parent was stabbed with a screwdriver and strangled with a wire by a man angry that he had been cooperating with police.

Two other men are facing charges in Parent’s death.
