FAIRFIELD — A Special Olympics team, Somerset Team Outreach, The Ducks, will have a bake/yard sale to raise funds for equipment. The sale is set for 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Aug. 2-4 at 864 Norridgewock Road.
The team is not sponsored like other Special Olympic teams and raises its own funds for equipment and entry fees to Special Olympic Summer and Winter Games. This past year high winds and rain destroyed a lot of the equipment.
There will be a three-day long 50/50 raffle. The drawing is set for 4 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 4 The winner does not have to be present to win, but must have the matching legible ticket to collect. The winner will be contacted by the phone number written on matching ticket.
