United Way of the Tri-Valley Area announces participation in emergency program
The Emergency Food and Shelter Program is a federal program administered nationally by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security’s Federal Emergency Management Agency. It is designed to supplement and expand ongoing efforts to provide shelter, food and supportive services for the nation’s hungry, homeless and people in economic crisis.
Free parenting classes offered
1,2,3,4 Parents! is a program that provides new information on parenting and child behavior for parents and care providers of children ages 1-4. In this series of three two-hour classes participants will have an opportunity to learn discipline methods, how to prevent tantrums, establishing routines and more. The class consists of video vignettes, discussion and activities. Childcare will be available upon request.
