Old Fort Western to host French and Indain War events

AUGUSTA — Old Fort Western, the 1754 National Landmark fort, store and house on the Kennebec River, will host several area re-enactment groups Saturday, Aug. 3, and Sunday, Aug. 4. Those interested can experience what the life of a soldier was like during the French and Indian War.

Let’s Go! Family Fun Day set for Sept. 14

WATERVILLE — Let’s Go! Family Fun Day at Inland Hospital is set for Saturday, Sept. 14. The second annual event kicks off a year-long series of activities focused on helping families lead healthy, active lives. Last year’s event hosted nearly 500 area residents (145 families) for a day of active outdoor fun and education about healthful lifestyle choices.
