LITCHFIELD — Blistered Fingers Bluegrass Festival, at the Litchfield Fairgrounds, 30 Plains Road, begins today.
According to a press release from festival promoters Sandy and Greg Cormier, Blistered Fingers and the Bluegrass Music Association of Maine have got together to create a free, relaxed, informative three-day music program for children for ages 6-18. The focus will be how to play, sing and perform bluegrass music. Students can bring their own instruments and will commit to the three day program.
Weekend tickets for each festival will cover four days of music and camping from 8 a.m. Thursday to 1:30 p.m. Sunday. There will be several vendors on the grounds. Tickets cost $80 for all four days with camping, free for children 12 and younger with a paying adult, $15 for Thursday, $30 for Friday, $20 after 5 p.m., $30 for Saturday, $20 after 5 p.m., $10 for Sunday, $10 for dogs, $20 for power.
