AUGUSTA — A city man was severely injured after a car struck his bicycle Friday night on Northern Avenue, police said.
Terrance Ladd, 20, was struck by a vehicle driven by Leona Peaslee, 27, of Augusta, who was driving north on Northern Avenue and trying to make a left turn onto Mill Street, according to Sgt. Christian Behr, of the Augusta police.
Ladd had multiple severe injuries and was taken to the critical care unit at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Behr said. The crash remains under investigation.
A nursing administrator at the Lewiston hospital said she couldn’t release information on Ladd’s condition Saturday morning.
