Mobile Health Unit outreach schedule planned for August

The Healthy Community Coalition of Greater Franklin County has planned Mobile Health Unit outreach events. Staff will offer services such as blood pressure and cholesterol checks, body composition analysis, information on cancer prevention, nutrition, physical activity and tobacco, one-on-one health counseling, and information and assistance on the Maine Breast and Cervical Health Program and other health assistance programs.

Hospice volunteer training planned

SKOWHEGAN — Hospice Volunteers training is set for 5:30-8:30 p.m. starting Monday, Sept. 16. During the eight-week training, participants can obtain skills necessary to offer peace, comfort and dignity to families facing end of life issues.
