EMBDEN POND — Wendy Ellis and Paul Gallagher were married August 2, 2013, at the Gallagher family cabin on Embden Pond, together with their collective three children, Griffin (18), Maeve (15) and Lily (9).

The bride is the daughter of Elwood and Judy Ellis of China. The groom is the son of Tom and Mary Gallagher of Cape Elizabeth.

The waterfront ceremony was officiated by the couple’s close friend, the most Reverend Jim Peschel, of Seattle, Wash., and included words written by the couple’s children. The week-long event was attended by many friends and family members spanning from Seattle to Maine.

The late afternoon waterfront reception included food by Dandelion Catering of Portland and Wicked Whoopie and was followed by a night of dancing and merriment.

Mrs. Gallagher graduated from the University of New England and received her doctorate from the National College of Naturopathic Medicine, in Portland, Ore. She is a physician and the director of Tahoma Clinic Seattle, in Seattle, Wash.

Mr. Gallagher graduated from Maine Maritime Academy and completed his master’s from Seattle University. He is Director of Project Services for Tote Logistics in Seattle, Wash.
