A Chesterville man was indicted Wednesday by a Franklin County Court grand jury on charges of sexual contact with a girl under the age of 18.
Jeffery J. Mitchell, 40, was indicted on charges of class C unlawful sexual contact and class D unlawful sexual touching, according to court documents.
He is accused of the contact beginning in 2005 and through 2006 in Chesterville, when the girl, now 22, was 15 and 16 years old.
Mitchell was released on a $3,000 bail, and if convicted could face up to five years in prison for the charge of unlawful sexual contact and up to a year for the charge of unlawful sexual touching.
