WINSLOW — Mr. and Mrs. Denton Ayers of Winslow celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on Sept. 22, 2013, in Rockland.

Denton Ayers and the former Julia Cloutier were married Sept. 22, 1963, by the Rev. John Laws at the Universalist Unitarian Church in Waterville.

Mrs. Ayers is a homemaker.

Mr. Ayers is retired from TD Bank.

They have two children, Michael Ayers of Rockland and Mark Ayers of Center Conway, N.H., and three grandchildren, Caleb Ayers, Patrick Ayers and Michael Ayers.

Their anniversary celebration was followed by a trip to New Hampshire.
