OAKLAND — Eugene “Gene” and Joyce Stevens of Oakland celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on September 21, 2013, with family and friends.
Mr. Stevens and the former Joyce Snow were married at the Baptist Church in Oakland. The ceremony was performed by Rev. James Ashton.
Mr. Stevens is retired from SAD 47 and Mrs. Stevens is retired from the Kennebec Journal.
They are blessed with two daughters, Joette DuPerry and her husband Richard of Portland, Tracy Hallee and her husband Gregg of Pittsfield and four grandchildren, Rebekah and Zachary DuPerry and Mitchell and Madison Hallee.
