AUGUSTA — A pair of city residents have been charged with trafficking in scheduled drugs.
Caitlyn Bragg, 21, and Moises Radhame Pujols, 29, were both arrested Wednesday and charged with trafficking. Bragg was charged with three counts of unlawful trafficking in scheduled drugs and violating conditions of release. Pujols, who has a previous felony conviction for unlawful furnishing of scheduled drugs, was charged with aggravated trafficking in scheduled drugs. Bail was initially set at $15,000 for each.
The arrests follow a Maine Drug Enforcement Agency investigation that goes back to May 2013. Undercover drug agents purchased, or arranged purchases, of oxycodone pills and heroin on three occasions last summer, DEA Agent Brian Wastella wrote in an affidavit filed in Kennebec County Superior Court. Bragg reportedly sent Pujols to deliver the drugs on at least one of those occasions, leading to the charges against him.
The operation was reportedly run out of Bragg’s home at 12 Child St. Pujols also reportedly lives at that address.
