WARREN — The Maine Department of Corrections is investigating the death of an inmate at the state prison in Warren.
The department says 53-year-old Stephen Ray Gravel died at about 5:45 a.m. Tuesday.
Maine State Police and the state Medical Examiner’s Office are reviewing the death.
Gravel had served about five years of a 16-year sentence for gross sexual assault.
