WINTHROP — Police continue to search for a pajama-clad man who robbed a Main Street convenience store early Tuesday morning.

Winthrop Police Detective Peter Struck said Wednesday morning that police continue to follow up on leads, but so far none of that information has lead to charges.

Police said the robbery occurred at 3:29 a.m. at the store on Main Street when a lone man showed a handgun and demanded money from the cashier.

A news release from police described the robber as a white male with brown eyes in his early 20s who is between 5-foot-7 and 6 feet tall. He wore “a white mask, a dark hoodie with the logo on the back, ‘Support the Twins,’ also wearing bright green pajama bottoms and white sneakers.”

The man fled on foot with an unspecified amount of cash.

Anyone who can help identify the robber is asked to call Struck or Winthrop Police Chief Joseph Young Sr. at 377-7227.
