WATERVILLE — Two 18-hole best-ball scrambles are set for Saturday, June 7, at Pine Ridge Golf Course, West River Road. Sessions are planned for 9 a.m. and p.m. Each will be followed by door prizes, awards for gross, net and duffers, and a $5 lunch. A 2014 Chevy Cruze LT is the prize for a hole-in-one on the 178-yard 8th hole, sponsored by Central Maine Motors Auto Group. Proceeds will benefit the the Trinity Homeless Shelter, in Skowhegan.
Entry fees are $25 per person or $100 for a team, and each entrant will receive a door prize, gift pack of tees and balls. Prizes and raffles will range from green fees with carts at Natanis and Sugarloaf, as well as many gift certificates from local businesses for oil changes, spa sessions, restaurants, motel stays, a Christmas tree, a submersible trailer hitch, T-shirts and more.
Register early for the morning session as only nine teams will enjoy each shotgun start. To register, call Norton Webber at 660-1115 or sign up at the Pine Ridge pro shop.
