WINTHROP — The management team of Tabitha’s Closet has been presented with the town’s 2014 Spirit of America Award.
Members of the management team are Sue Phillips, Sue Reinke, Bev Dow, Jill Howes and Barbara Hamblin. Tabitha’s Closet, 72 Main St., is a clothing ministry of the Winthrop United Methodist Church that provides clean, gently-used apparel to children and adults in the Winthrop community at no cost. More than 2,000 volunteer hours have been spent preparing the space, sorting, laundering and displaying clothes, as well as staffing the closet during hours of operation.
