BELGRADE — The 6th annual Golf Tournament is set for Thursday, July 10, at Belgrade Lakes Golf Course with an 11:30 a.m. tee off time and scramble format. Proceeds raised will be used for maintaining the Belgrade Public Library,Depot Road. The Library offers public services, including free internet access and high-speed Wi-Fi, multiple children’s programs, printer, scanner and fax equipment, monthly book discussions, and more.

Sponsors for the golf tournament are Belgrade Lakes Marine & Storage, Inc, Day’s Real Estate, Gagne & Son, John and Ellen Gawler, Hammond Lumber Company, Dean Johnson, Maine Lakes Resource Center, Jack and Diana Schultz, and Skowhegan Savings Bank. Tournament sponsors are still being accepted.

An awards ceremony will follow the tournament along with a buffet/cocktail reception with a live and silent auction. There are gifts for each golfer. The MC is Tom Alter from the PGA Tour and the auctioneer is Dexter “Buzz” Bridges, the Belgrade Lakes Postmaster.

There will be Mulligans for sale when you check in, a putting contest before, during and after the tournament, lunch, water and snacks, a prize for the longest drive for a man and woman, closest to the pin awards, a car and joke gifts.
