AUGUSTA — Maine Gov. Paul LePage’s re-election team is boosting its staff as the campaign season gets underway.

The Republican governor’s chief political adviser, Brent Littlefield, says that Scott Van Orman has become the team’s campaign manager.

Orman, a Westbrook native, was the governor’s volunteer and political director for the 2010 race and served in his administration as the deputy director of boards and commissions.

State Rep. Alex Willette of Mapleton will now serve as communications and coalitions director as well as spokesman for the campaign. Willette has been assistant minority leader in the Democratic-led Legislature since 2012.

David Madore has become the campaign’s deputy director of finance. The Augusta resident spent eight years in the state Legislature, including time as the assistant Maine Senate secretary.
