Spectrum Generations seeks volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels to homebound seniors and disabled adults in Somerset and Kennebec counties. Drivers are needed to assist with coverage of the following Meals on Wheels routes:

• Somerset Community Center, in Skowhegan, drivers are needed Tuesdays and/or Thursdays to deliver meals in Skowhegan, Hartland, St. Albans, Solon, Embden, Pittsfield, Madison and Norridgewock. Contact Theresa at 612-5118 or tgogan@spectrumgenerations.org to volunteer.

• Muskie Community Center, in Waterville, drivers are needed Tuesdays and/or Thursdays to deliver meals in Benton, Albion, Fairfield, Oakland, Waterville, Vassalboro, China and Winslow. Contact Angela at 660-9263 or aderosby@spectrumgenerations.org to volunteer.

Total time commitment is approximately two to three hours per day; drivers are reimbursed for mileage. Volunteers must have the ability to lift 25 pounds and have a valid driver’s license. Business groups, individuals, families and college students are welcome to volunteer.

Applications for back-up drivers to fill in as-needed are always accepted.
