WATERVILLE — Donald “Don” and Virginia “Jinny” Belanger celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with a small gathering of family at their Abbott Street home. Don and Jinny (Dickinson) were married May 1, 1954, at Sacred Heart Church in Waterville.

Don is a Korean War veteran and retired from the U.S. Postal Service in Waterville. Jinny was the owner/operator of “Jinny’s Variety” store in Waterville.

They are devoted parents of three sons, grandparents of three, and recently great-grandparents.

Attending the celebration were son Dick and wife Eileen, of Chapel Hill, N.C., son Jeff and wife Pam, of Augusta, grandson Adam, wife Stefanie, and great-grandson Chris, of Chapel Hill, granddaughter Katie and fiance Eric Grimes of San Diego, Calif., granddaughter Nikki and husband Justin Brown, of Farmingdale, nephew Kenny Chapman and wife Kathy, of Solon, nephew Joey Shepherd, of Waterville, and nephew Jim Porter, of Waterville.

Everyone wishes Don and Jinny many more years of happiness.
