I am a retired state employee and a strong supporter of Monica Castellanos, a Democrat from Augusta, for Maine House.

I am 74 years old and have had a series of significant health issues over the past few years, including strokes, loss of vision and cancer. It has been a struggle to deal with my health care needs and manage life generally on my state retirement benefits. I worked 26 years for the state of Maine.

Monica has been an incredible friend and neighbor. She checks in on me all the time, comes over after storms to shovel my walk, helps me with my dog Simon and brings me groceries and homemade soups and stews when I am unable to drive.

All of that and more done quietly, and she hasn’t ever been running for anything. She is just a good person who cares about people. Please vote for Monica.
