The Ecu Heat Share program, administered by the Western Maine Community Action, announced in a news release it is accepting applications for this season.

Franklin County residents who need assistance are welcome to apply. Applicants will pay $50, for which they will receive 50 gallons of fuel. Households are limited to one delivery per heating season, which runs through March 31, 2015.

The program does not provide emergency assistance and those in need are encouraged to submit requests before they run out of heating oil.

Donations to the fund are welcome and are tax-deductible. They may be made to ECU HEAT, P.O. Box 147, Farmington, ME 04938.

Applications are available at Western Maine Community Action, 20 Church St., East Wilton.

All Franklin County communities are served, except for Jay, which is served by the Good Neighbor Fund.
