The Town of Benton will sponsor a Zero Sort Information Night for residents at 7 p.m. Monday, Dec. 29, at the Town Office, according to a news release from the town.

Residents can learn about the transition to Zero Sort recycling at the Clinton/Benton transfer station that will begin Jan. 1, 2015.

Zero Sort recycling allows users of the Clinton/Benton Transfer Station to place all recyclable material in one bin and no longer requires sorting materials into separate bins. Users are no longer required to remove lids, caps and labels. All plastics #1-7 are now accepted. Many items not previously accepted will be. A detailed list of items can be found at: www.zerosort.com. Examples will be on display at Zero Sort Information Night.

Those who attend will have an opportunity to win a free 32-gallon recycling bin. For more information, contact Antoine Morin at 877-5640 or email [email protected].
