DAMARISCOTTA — Arline Seigars will give a chase away the winter blues knitting workshop at 9:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 12, at Spectrum Generations Coastal Community Center. Those who attend will learn hands-on how to make the increasingly popular knitted ruffle scarf — a wearable project that is quick and easy to learn, according to a news release from the center. For small ruffles people are asked to bring number 5 knitting needles; for large ruffles bring number 10 needles. Yarn will be provided. Participation fee is $10. To register for the ruffles scarf workshop, call 563-1363.

Community members across all generations are welcome. Home schooled students, their teachers and parents are encouraged to register and participate.
