The Friends of the Readfield Community Library will hold its first fundraising event, a cribbage/Scrabble social, from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 22, at the Readfield Town Hall. Scrabble boards will be provided; extra cribbage boards and cards are welcome, according to a news release from the library. There will be refreshments for sale and door prizes (must be present to win) drawn every 30 minutes. No admission, though donations will be accepted at the door. Proceeds will support the library.
