Patriots coach Bill Belichick isn’t known for his sense of humor on the field or in front of the media. Wednesday Belichick got a couple laughs during an appearance on “The Late Show” with David Letterman.

When the host pushed him on Deflagate, Belichick used science to explain deflated footballs and then pointed out the Patriots’ scoring dominance against the Colts.

“Well, it was only a 38-point win,” Belichick said about the Patriots’ 45-7 AFC Championship Game win.

Belichick was the latest Patriot to make the media rounds following Super Bowl XLIX. Julian Edelman and Malcom Butler appeared at the Grammys on Sunday.

Not to be outdone by the coach, Letterman got in his on quip about 37-year-old quarterback Tom Brady.

“Are you concerned about — I mean, he’s my age,” the 67-year-old host joked. “Are you worried about that?”

Letterman then handed Belichick the Lombardi Trophy.
