AUGUSTA — Maine Sen. Susan Collins is heading to the University of Maine this week to discuss political gridlock in Washington D.C.

Collins is giving the Margaret Chase Smith Public Affairs Lecture at Orono on Tuesday. It’s being held in the Collins Center for the Arts at 3:30 p.m.

Her address is titled: “Incivility and Hyper-partisanship: Is Washington a Symptom or a Cause?”

The moderate Republican is serving her fourth term in the Senate, where she has built a reputation as a dealmaker between the two deeply divided parties.
