John and Lynne Erkkinen, of Yarmouth, together with Michael and Mona DeLois, of Augusta, are overjoyed to announce the engagement of their children, Annie Erkkinen and Jim DeLois.
Annie is a graduate of Yarmouth High School and Northwestern University in Chicago. She is well-known in the Portland area as a dance teacher and choreographer and is now living and working in New York City.
Jim is a graduate of Cony High School and Syracuse University, where he received a bachelor of arts degree in mathematics. He is currently employed as a senior software engineer by Adobe in New York City.
Annie and Jim met each other more than 20 years ago in dance class in Augusta. Two years ago they reconnected and are now happily planning their upcoming wedding in Newry, Maine, on Oct. 31, 2015.
