STAMFORD, Conn. — A Stamford man has been charged with the armed robbery of a check cashing business after police say he left a paystub behind.
The Stamford Advocate reports 35-year-old Parim Vrzivoli is to enter a plea on Friday to robbery, assault and firearms charges.
Vrzivoli’s attorney Eugene Riccio says they “expect to deal with all aspects of this situation in court proceedings.” Vrzivoli was arraigned Tuesday and held on bail.
Police say Vrzivoli robbed the Mega Express of $4,100 last Friday morning, and dropped the paystub as he left.
Family members confirmed Vrzivoli’s identity to investigators Friday from security footage. Police said he called his family while investigators were there to say he was on his way to New York to pick up his girlfriend, and promised to turn himself in. He surrendered Monday.
