HIRAM — The Ossipee Valley Fair is taking over the little Oxford County town of Hiram this weekend with livestock events, truck shows and music.

The fair began on Thursday and lasts through Sunday at the Ossipee Valley Fairgrounds on South Hiram Road. Organizers say it is a “true country fair” with horse and ox pulling, a parade, pig calling, midway rides and other events. There will also be a car and truck show, live music and games.

The fair first took place in 1980.
