Brunswick police on Wednesday identified the body found Tuesday floating in a river as 51-year-old David Dolan of West Bath.
Dolan’s body was spotted floating in the New Meadows River at Sawyer Park Tuesday morning by a person walking in the area. The body was found near the park’s boat launch.
Police said Tuesday there were no obvious signs of a crime. Police released Dolan’s name Wednesday morning after notifying his family of his death.
The body was taken to the state Medical Examiner’s Office to determine the cause of death.
The death remains under investigation and anyone with information about Dolan is asked to call detective Greg Mears at 721-4322.
