The cause of a crash involving a school bus and car Monday morning remains under investigation by the Androscoggin County Sheriff’s Office.

A county dispatcher said the car rear-ended the school bus on Turner Center Road in Turner around 8:30 a.m. None of the students on the bus was hurt.

However, the driver of the car had to be taken to a hospital with injuries that appeared to be non-life threatening.

The dispatcher said the bus, which was carrying 22 students, is owned by Maine School Administrative District 52. The district includes students from Turner, Greene and Leeds.

Turner Center Road is part of Route 117 that runs between Route 4 in Turner Village and Turner Center, near the campus of Turner Elementary School and Leavitt Area High School.
