FREEDOM — The Goosepecker Trekker, Sheepscot Wellspring Land Alliance’s Hike-athon fundraiser is planned for 8:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct 3.
The fundraiser will support the maintenance of the alliance’s current trail system and the future expansion of conserved lands with public access, according to a news release from the alliance. Registration will include a celebration lunch featuring farm-fresh food, a Goosepecker Trekker Ale from Marshall Wharf, music, and events at Villageside Farm, a community supported agriculture farm.
The hike, a 3.5 mile recreational walk, will showcase the Hills to Sea Trail; a family-friendly shorter route is also available.
Goosepecker Trekker business supporters include ReVision Energy, Cold Mountain Builders, GO Logic, Villageside Farm, The Green Store, Liberty Graphics, Johnny’s Selected Seeds, Viking Lumber, and Worth Real Estate.
