AUGUSTA — The city of Augusta’s overnight winter parking ban will take affect Nov. 15 through April 15, 2016, according to a news release from the Augusta Police Department. The revised code of ordinances prohibits on-street parking between 10 p.m. and 7 a.m. from Nov. 15 to April 15 of each year for snow removal purposes.

The city of Augusta has an emergency notification system for citizen notification by telephone, text messaging and email (i.e. for floods, snow removal, public service announcements etc.) To sign up for a particular notification list, register online at augustamaine.gov.

Violators of this ordinance may be ticketed and or towed at the owner’s expense.
