WATERVILLE — The Central Maine Dryland Challenge sled dog race will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Nov. 14 and 15 at Quarry Road Recreation Area. Races will include runners racing with their dogs. Bikers and people racing scooters will compete with their canine athletes on the two-mile trail.

A big attraction is four- and six-dog teams racing with a wheeled cart. Central Maine Motors has donated the purse to be divided by the classes. There will be a “citizen’s class” for those wishing to run or walk with their dogs. There will be food served by the Central Maine Ski Club during the day.
